8000 Inc. accelerates its clothing and merchandising business through contract with European Clothing leader Lazzati Group

Lazzati, one of Europe’s leading experts in quality performance fabrics, will be producing high end fashion apparel featuring the Cannonball 8000 logo. Previous customers for Lazzati’s expertise include Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Armani.

Founded in 2002, Cannonball 8000 is an aspirational lifestyle brand built around a luxurious, extravagant, adventurous and exclusive rally. Each year the event evolves by exploring some of the best roads Europe has to offer. In 2008 there will be two Cannonball 8000 rallies: a one-day event from Manchester to Brighton and a rally from London’s Earl’s Court to Zagreb. Part of the Corporate plan is to extend the business model into new regions and new markets including merchandising and branding. By partnering with Lazzati, the company is now ideally positioned to introduce high quality brand clothing to not only the existing Cannonballers but to a defined target audience.  The Cannonball brand is now established across Europe and the Company feels that this agreement with Lazzati is ideal in terms of their reputation, the timing, and the opportunity for both partners building on their brand strengths.

Conrad Wall, founder of the Cannonball 8000 rally said, “We are delighted to be working with some top class licensees on this programme. There are clear markets for this product – the participants in the rally and the track days as well as those people who aspire to be part of this lifestyle. As a brand in this sector, it will drive great sales within the hard-to-reach 16-34 men’s market and, as we extend the rally into the US and the Far East in 2008/9 the merchandise opportunity will grow exponentially.”

“We are very excited about becoming involved with such a fantastic lifestyle event with its increasing global reach and high-profile televised media coverage; I only hope that I will be able to secure myself an entry to the European Tour and get a taste of the good life!”
